Kontrol servis s.r.o. company was founded in 1997 in the effort to satisfy the customers and to offer comprehensive controlling, inspection and counselling activities in the line of surface protection. The basic activities of our company are as follows:

1. Technically-counselling activity

In the line of anticorrosion surface protections (paints and metal hot sprayed coatings and hot-dip galvanized steel), fire-fighting surface protection of steel structures, temporary surface protection and spatula insulation materials.

  • the compilation of quality program in the line of the surface protection realisation
  • the design of systems of the above-mentioned surface protections
  • the assessment of applicator´s offers for  anticorrosion surface protection
  • the proposals of measures for the removal of the found-out defects
  • corrosion files keeping and updating
  • the planning of preventive corrosion examinations

2. Controlling activity

  • the assessment of state and quality of anticorrosion surface protection realisation (coatings and metal hot sprayed coatings), fire-fighting surface protection of steel structures, temporary surface protections and spatula insulation materials
  • the supervisions during the realisation of works on the above-mentioned surface protections
  • the measurement and documentation during the surface protection realisation
  • the inspection of  the realisation of the reference areas of surface protections
  • the detection of state and measurement of the decrease of the anticorrosion and anti-erosion sprayings or the anticorrosion layers of clad steel
  • the evaluation of the quality of the surface protection realisation of  concrete frames

Further, we are able to ensure the activities in the area of non-destructive testing (detection of the material thickness, capillary and magnetic tests, searching of the defects by means of UVR and X-ray radiography).


Specific properties of the construction that should be coated and the requirements on the protective coating system are taken into account during the technically-counselling activity, design of surface protection systems, the assessment of offers for the realisation of surface protections and proposals of measures:

  • position and type of the construction and its parts, accessibility of the surface
  • the current state of the construction
  • applicable methods of the surface preparation aiming to the required stage of cleanness, or choice of protective measures (ecological aspects)
  • the total influence of the environment and weather conditions in which the construction will be placed, or weather effects in the period of the coating application, technological aspects
  • the required durability and period of guarantee in relation to the environment and to operational effects to which it will be exposed
  • final appearance of the surface protection - colourful shade, lustre, smoothness, possibility of cleaning, resistance of the colour shade, resistance to chalking
  • economic aspects of the surface protection
  • assumed possibility of maintenance and renewal of the surface protection

Our inspectors have got long-time experience from the realization of the surface protections and the inspection and supervision activities. They are members of the Association of Corrosion Engineers. Our inspectors are holders of FROSIO certificate (Inspector for Surface Treatment). The holders have documented sufficient education and experience, in accordance with requirements given in the Norwegian standard NS – 476. The certificate is respected in the countries of European Union. Our company is holder of certificate with the Quality Control System, in accordance with the requirements ČSN EN ISO 9001.
